LICHT
Table Lamp
Background
Having spent much of my life in the quaint town of Gindorf, Germany, I had the opportunity to take part in many cherished local and national traditions.
Licht reflects one of my personal favorites: Laternelaufen. During this tradition, children gather with handmade lanterns inspired by autumn and the night sky, carrying them through the darkened streets while surrounded by classmates, friends, and family. The warm glow of the lanterns transforms the evening into a quiet celebration of community, creativity, and togetherness.
This is Licht’s direct inspiration: the classic Laternelaufen lantern and autumn leaves.
